Active Traffic Management
We are currently in Stage 1 of the highway works with the following active measures:
- Temporary traffic lights at Station Road junction (high-tech systems connected to area traffic lights)
- Station Road widening works in progress with lane restrictions
- Occasional temporary footway diversions during construction

Traffic Switch - July 2025
Major Changes- New traffic lights at Station Road switched on
- Station Road opens to two-way traffic
- Traffic direction reversed on Wilberforce Road and Herbert Road
- Perryfield Way permanently closed to through traffic
Stage 2 - July 2025 to Early 2026
Final Works- West Hendon Broadway improvements between Cool Oak Lane and Garrick Road
- Alternating lane closures to facilitate progress
- Night-time carriageway resurfacing towards program end
